2025年6月8日（日）開催の「グアム・ミクロネシア・アイランド・フェア（GMIF）」にて、グアム初のビーチフラッグエキシビジョン大会「グアハン・ビーチフラッグス・コンペティション」を同時開催！参加費は無料で、優勝者には豪華景品があります！さらに参加ただいた全員にもれなく粗品をプレゼント！なんと本大会には、ビーチフラッグ世界王者の堀江星冴選手も特別ゲスト参加！青い海と白い砂浜で繰り広げられる、迫力満点のスピード競技をぜひお楽しみください。

Join us for Guam’s first-ever Guahan Beach Flags Competition at the 37th Guam Micronesia Island Fair on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Ypao Beach Park! Featuring 2024 Beach Flags World Champion Shogo Horie and his team from Japan, this exciting showcase highlights the thrilling, life-saving sport of beach flags. Participation is free, and the winner will receive a luxurious prize! Plus, everyone who joins will receive a small gift. Don’t miss this action-packed event on Guam’s beautiful beach!

【イベント概要】

■ 日　時：2025年6月8日（日）12:00〜受付開始／13:00〜レース開始

■ 会　場：イパオビーチパーク（Ypao Beach Park）

■ 参加費：無料（参加・観覧ともに自由）※参加賞付き

■ 条　件：先着50名。どなたでも参加可能（年齢性別制限なし）

■ ゲスト：
2024年ビーチフラッグス世界チャンピオン
堀江星冴（ほりえ・しょうご）選手およびアスリートチーム

免責事項および権利放棄同意書をご確認いただき、サインした書面をお持ちください。

【Event Overview】

■ Date: Sunday, June 8, 2025 (Registration opens at 12:00 PM / Race starts at 1:00 PM)

■ Venue: Ypao Beach Park

■ Participation Fee: Free (Open to all for both participation and viewing)
　All participants will receive a commemorative gift.

■ Eligibility: First 50 participants only. Open to everyone (no age or gender restrictions).

■ Guest Appearance:
Shogo Horie, 2024 Beach Flags World Champion, and team of elite athletes

Please review the Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement and bring a signed copy.

【ビーチフラッグスとは】

ビーチフラッグスは、海辺での安全を守るライフセーバーたちが技術と瞬発力を競い合う国際的な競技です。砂浜にうつ伏せで並んだ選手たちが、合図とともに一斉に立ち上がり、数メートル先に立てられたフラッグを全力で奪い合います。瞬発力、判断力、そして反射神経が試されるこの競技は、見ているだけで手に汗握るスリリングなスポーツです。

【What is Beach Flags?】

Beach Flags is an international sport where lifesavers compete in speed and agility to demonstrate the skills essential for protecting lives at the beach. Athletes lie face down on the sand and, at the sound of a signal, spring to their feet to sprint toward flags placed a few meters ahead—fighting to grab one before the others. This thrilling sport tests explosive power, quick decision-making, and lightning-fast reflexes, making it a heart-pounding spectacle for spectators.

【堀江星冴選手について】

2024年に開催されたビーチフラッグス世界大会にてチャンピオンの座を獲得した、日本を代表するライフセーバー、堀江星冴（ほりえ・しょうご）選手。圧倒的なスタートダッシュと鋭い判断力で、世界中の強豪選手たちを制し、世界王者の称号を手にしました。

海での安全を守ることの大切さや、ライフセービングスポーツの魅力を広める活動にも積極的に取り組んでおり、今回のイベントではデモンストレーションや交流の機会を通じて、参加者へその想いを届けてくれます。

【About Shogo Horie】

Shogo Horie is one of Japan’s top lifesavers and the reigning champion of the 2024 Beach Flags World Championships. With an explosive start and sharp decision-making, he outpaced elite competitors from around the globe to claim the world title. In addition to his athletic achievements, Horie is passionate about promoting the importance of beach safety and the appeal of lifesaving sports.

At this event, he will share that passion through demonstrations and direct interaction with participants.
